I must blog about yesterday/the cliff jumping experience.
First I almost got left by the bus. I put on my bathing suit and a skirt/tank combo over the top and grabbed my purse and was heading out the door and as I walked down the stairs this girl Ava asked if I brought a towel- uh no. I forgot so I went back up and switched all my things from purse to backpack. This girl Kat came up to my room to get some milk for her cereal (my room has the fridge) and asked me why I was changing. That backpack didn’t look good with the skirt so I was going to put shorts on instead. After I changed I headed for the bus again. While walking down the hall area another girl Tara told me she brought like 5 magazines. It made me want to go back and get my book. I did and ended up being the last one on the bus. :/ This guy Josh said he went through all the dorms and screamed if anybody was in there….I didn’t hear that, obviously. Calluses resulted from my running for bus/sweaty feet/sandal combination. Ouch.
Took us two hours to get to an area called Torquay or Surf City. We stopped for breakfast because there was traffic up ahead. McDonalds here is way different from McDonalds in the states. Another hour before we got to Lorne or The Great Ocean Road. Swam in the ocean, ate fish and chips, tanned. One of the girls, Amanda, wanted to take this trail that goes to the top of this cliff. There were various spots where you could stop and take photos. We met this Australian photographer named Glenn Weiss on the way up who said when we get to the top we could jump off and it makes for great photos. He gave me his card and said he’d take our picture. When he said that I was like haa yeah right.
Amanda basically convinced me to jump and I’m so happy I did. It was such a rush. I am fearless now! =]
Three hour bus ride back to the University. Showered then went out for Italian with Lindsay. I got some Fettuccine Del Fresco. It had chicken and avocados. It was better than I thought it would be. I bought some cheesecake from this Bakery. God, it was delicious.
Day 3.
